Ministries of Zion
The Diaconate Ministry
The Diaconate Ministry is composed of servant leaders who emulate the example of Jesus and seek to invest in the lives of others so that the church community is challenged to grow and be more like Christ. This ministry supports the Pastor and assists the church family in meeting their spiritual needs. The servant leaders of this ministry are charged to render service to God and others, including our church family and community.
The Trustee Ministry
The Trustee Ministry serves as the custodian of all the properties belonging to Zion Baptist Church. These properties are to include real estate (land and buildings), personal and tangible properties, trust funds, stocks, and bonds.
The Christian Education Ministry
The Christian Education Ministry serves as the primary supportive organization for planning, coordinating, and implementing Zion’s Christian Educational program emphasis. Under the framework of the Christian Education ministry are other ministries that mirror and promote building relationships and utilizing individual gifts that God has provided to educate and serve.
The Missionary Ministry
The Missionary Ministry helps the church develop the missionary spirit of giving and serving others. The Missionary Ministry identifies and carry out the church’s mission and objectives.
Women's Ministry
The Women’s Ministry of Zion Baptist Church empowers, encourages, nurtures, and equips women to use their gifts to glorify and praise God faithfully.
The Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry consists of many programming opportunities for involvement in worship, education, and recreation to include various missionary, musical, and greeter roles. Our weekly Church School program is designed to educate children about the love of God as they develop Christian lifestyle. Additionally, Zion is a host church for a regional Girl Scouts Troop.
The Ministry of Music
The Music Ministry provides various styles of music for our regular worship services and other special programming.
The Zion Herald News
The Zion Herald News is our formal quarterly newsletter utilized to keep members informed about various church events and activities.
Joint Ushers Ministry
The Usher Ministry welcome and greet members and guest who attend Zion Baptist Church. This ministry also provides comfort and other services for all who enter.
Pulpit Aide Ministry
The purpose of the Pulpit Aide Ministry is to support the agenda of the Pastor, his family and the church community.
Singles Ministry
The Singles Ministry provides opportunities for education regarding God’s plan for a single person’s life and service to God through the demonstration of Christian love and concern. The ministry promotes a nurturing environment for Christian fellowship and developing brotherly/sisterly fellowship among its members and advocates for healthy and spiritual socialization.
Drama Ministry
The Drama Ministry utilizes various forms of fine art, to include music, writing, speech, poetry, drama, graphic arts, and dance, to communicate God’s message of love and salvation to all.
Technology Ministry
The "Tech Team" is responsible for recording the worship services and special programming. The goal is to reach larger audiences within the church and provide ways to view the services through social media and online platforms. To view our services online, click the YouTube icon below.
A.J. White Association
This ministry is designed to promote Christian attitudes, enhance awareness of members, families and support the church activities.
Health & Wellness Ministry
This ministry aims to assist the sick and shut-in, meet the needs of others, and assist the bereaved during periods of grief.
